Useful properties of guava Individual guava fruits can contain record amounts of vitamin C (240 mg per 100 g), which already makes this fruit extremely useful. But the high content of ascorbic acid is not a single advantage of this fruit, guava is also useful for strengthening the lymphatic system, it strengthens the immune system well, restores strength and tones the body. Nutritionists recommend guava as one of the main components in the nutrition of children, as well as pregnant women and nursing mothers.

Guava also helps with diarrhea, asthma, bronchitis, inflammation of the lungs and throat, has a bactericidal, antispasmodic and antiepileptic effect, and with regular use improves digestion, stimulates the cardiovascular system and normalizes blood pressure.

Guava is not calories, but very healthy and nutritious. 100 g of the product contains only about 70 kcal; the pulp contains a lot of fiber, protein, fats, carbohydrates; vitamins - C, A, K, group B; minerals - calcium, phosphorus, iron, chlorine, sulfur, magnesium, potassium, sodium, zinc, copper, manganese, selenium, iodine. Vitamin C in guava more than in citrus - almost 5 times, although some sources reported that it is more than 15 times.
