Dessert of millet porridge, strawberries and rose petals
Gentle, creamy, with an unearthly aroma of roses and strawberry flavor, wholesome - all this is a dessert of millet porridge, strawberry and confiture from rose petals. It is done quickly, not counting the cooling time. Sure - dessert will find its fans in the berry season of 2019!
Ingredients: 1/2 cup wheat 1 tbsp. ghee or cream butter 500g of strawberries 2 tbsp. rose petal jam 4 tbsp. honey 2 cups milk 1 cup of cream with 30% fat 4 tbsp. powdered sugar juice and zest of one lemon
Cooking method:
1. Wash millet groats, drain water. In a saucepan, melt the butter and fry for about a minute on medium heat (thanks to this, all the bitterness will go away). Pour in 1.5 cups of milk, reduce the heat, cover with a lid and cook for 10-15 minutes until all the milk is absorbed. Remove from heat and let cool.
2. Combine porridge, the remaining milk, honey, lemon juice and beat with a mixer until the consistency of the air cream.
3. Beat the cooled (minimum 12 hours) cream with two tablespoons of powdered sugar.
4. Combine porridge and cream, beat until smooth mousse.5. Washed, dried and peeled strawberries, beat with a mixer also with two tablespoons of powdered sugar.6. We divide the millet mass into two parts. In one add confiture from rose petals and 2 tablespoons of strawberry mousse. The second part is left white, add lemon peel to it.7. Cool both masses in the refrigerator for about two hours.
8. Putting in glasses in layers: strawberry mousse, pink mass and white mass, pour on top with strawberry mousse.Note:Dessert can be made from different berries. Very tasty also with raspberries and apricots. In the version for vegans, we replace butter, milk and cream with coconut, and honey with agave syrup.
